This kit contains the paper pattern and the equivalent 2 fat quarters in smaller pieces of fabric to make the outside panel of the bag and 1 complete fat quarter for the lining.
The fabrics included are the ones used in the beautiful example (shown here for illustration) made by Nim @gingernim.
The beauty of these bags is that you can make them totally your own with stitching, patching and adding to them with offcuts!
The paper pattern by Karen Stevens @kzstevens has all the instructions to make a Modern Japanese Rice Pouch (Komebukuro). The traditional use for these pouches was to carry rice as an offering to temple during religious ceremonies, or to hold gifts destined for a close friend or relative. They are traditionally hand sewn in a patchwork style which is perfect for using up small pieces of leftover fabric.
