1/2" double fold bias tape is almost 2" when opened all
What is bias tape?
All fabric has a grain to it - the way the threads run. If you cut on the straight grain, you are cutting so the threads run straight. If you cut on the bias, you're cutting the threads on a 45 degree angle. Cutting on the angle allows the fibers to stretch more and gives you a nice stretch to your bias tape which is great for projects like curves, garments, or hair bows!
Bias Tape is when the strips of fabric that have been cut on the bias are then folded in half towards the middle. Double fold bias is folded in half again.
Sold by the yard (36" length), multiple yards will be cut as continuous lengths.
